SENSOR CALIBRATION SYSTEM
The Product
- Phototherapy Light Systems are used to treat newborn jaundice, and specialized Phototherapy Sensors are used to calibrate these light systems to ensure safe and consistent irradiance.
- The Sensor Calibration System (SCS) designed by Simplexity provides fully automated and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable calibration of Phototherapy Sensors.
Tool Operation
- Ground up re-design of calibration system with added functionality and improved reliability and repeatability.
- Replace NIST calibrated 1000W halogen bulb with longer lasting and more dependable NIST calibrated spectrometer.
- Full development of LabVIEW program to control every aspect of calibration, including light sources, sensors, and spectrometer, as well as automated self calibration routines.
- Use of National instruments Compact Data Acquisition (cDAQ) modules (analog input, output and DIO modules; easy access to modules for annual calibration).
