Each month, if our employees feel one of their colleagues has demonstrated one of our Company Core Values in a noteworthy fashion, they are encouraged to nominate them for internal “Demonstrating Our Values” Award. We have MANY to choose from. Here are just a few examples:
Client Success & Employee Well-Being:
- John was nominated by Ethan for demonstrating Simplexity’s values of client success & employee well-being. Ethan writes “John has been literally balancing his new baby and technical contribution to a key Simplexity program. He has selflessly taken on designing parts and developing prototype workstreams while handling his daddy-duties and is doing a great job with both. His poise in dealing with our meetings, client communication, and design reviews while handling a newborn deserve recognition and I want him to know his balancing act is really appreciated."
Client Success:
- Kristin was nominated by Tim for demonstrating Simplexity’s value of Client Success. Tim tells the story of how he accidentally damaged a board and had an urgent need to replace a part on it to keep the client on schedule. Kristin was willing to replace the chip on very short notice (a few hours). Not only did she replace the chip, but, despite the damage to the board, the circuit worked as designed and we were able to deliver firmware to the client by the end of the day. Kristin was able to rewire all the pads to proper signals to make the board work well.
Product Development Excellence:
- Dave was nominated by Gabriel for demonstrating Simplexity’s value of Product Development Excellence. Gabriel nominated Dave for doing an incredible job on designing a PCA for a client. It’s a very complicated board that Dave fit into 4 layers and the required outline. Along the way, the customer added a number of chips, connectors, power supplies, etc and Dave was able to keep up with all of it. During bring-up there was not a single blue wire needed! Thanks to getting the boards working so quickly, we delivered early!
- Grant was nominated by Dan for demonstrating Simplexity’s value of Product Development Excellence. The two of them were working on a project together and Grant had a really clever idea on how to reduce the number of actuators for the system. The idea reduced the system from 16 motors to 1 by adding solenoids. The slick part is that the solenoids never see any loading or force from the system.
